I've always thought that by shopping at Target, I was better off considering the awful things you hear about Wal-Mart. According to Corpwatch.org, this is not the case! Read the article here
Yes, but mainly it means making multiple stops. American Apparel has 'staple' and less expensive clothing items; Trader Joe's offers a lot of fair trade grocery items. Many of the "Big Box" all-in-one stores are so dependent on mass production to keep up with demand they must rely on sweatshops. Honestly, I have only shopped at Target like 4 times in the past year and with where we live now there just isn't one close enough to be convenient. In other words, I am not too worried about survival without it ;).
That is really disappointing, have you found any alternatives for Target?
